Residents and charities within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead will benefit from over £110,000 of charitable funds this year from The Prince Philip Trust Fund.

The royal charity, which meets twice a year to consider applications for grant funding, recently awarded £70,000 in funds to over 39 local charities, projects and good causes bringing the combined total of funds awarded in 2018 to over £117,000.

Local charities and community projects to benefit from funding this year include Thames Hospice, ReCharge R&R, ABC to Read, Windsor Festival, a range of local primary and senior schools, Wraysbury Football Club, Mens Matters, The Dash Charity, Wayside Riding for the Disabled, Windsor Mencap, MS Therapy Centre, Phoenix Gymnastics Club and Norden Farm Arts Festival, to name a few.

Chris Aitken, Secretary and Trustee for The Prince Philip Trust Fund said; “We are delighted to see an increase the number of charities, schools, projects and good causes coming forward this year to apply for funding. Ultimately, this means that we are able to support more residents and, as a result, strengthen our communities”.
