Statement on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Friday 9 September 2022

We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

For over seven decades as our beloved Monarch, she has been a constant and reassuring presence in our lives not only as a nation, but also for the local community in Windsor and the wider Royal Borough.

Her unwavering dedication to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has embodied the British spirit, and has been a beacon of light to us in the darkest of times. She led a life of duty, in service to others, with humility and grace, and will continue to be an inspiration to us all.

Whilst we mourn her death, we would like to express our profound gratitude for her life. HM Queen Elizabeth II will continue to inspire the work of the Prince Philip Trust Fund – the charity that bears the name of her beloved husband – as we continue to serve the local residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Our thoughts and condolences are with her son and Chairman of the Prince Philip Trust Fund, HRH Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex and all members of the Royal Family at this very sad and difficult time.
