Classic Car Rally and Gala Dinner to Support The Prince Philip Trust Fund
A spectacular celebration of classic motoring and philanthropy will take place in Windsor Great Park this June, as enthusiasts from around the country gather for the Austin Healey International Car Meeting in support of The Prince Philip Trust Fund.
Organised in partnership with the International Healey Club (Thames Valley Branch), the event will bring together Healey owners and supporters for a unique programme of activities, culminating in a stunning display of approximately 70 classic Austin Healey cars at Cambridge Gate at the top of the iconic Long Walk on Monday 1 June at 11am.
This line up of classic cars include all models of Austin Healey dating from their original production of the four cylinder 100 in 1953, through to the six-cylinder version 100/6 and first production of the ever-popular Austin Healey 3000 (1959-1967). The line up will also include Austin Healey Sprites with their smiling ‘Frogeye’ face (1960), as well as a rare 1949 Healey Westland.
Set against one of Britain’s most historic landscapes, the rally will celebrate the enduring appeal of the Austin Healey marque while raising valuable funds for the important work of The Prince Philip Trust Fund. The classic cars will be reviewed by Lt. Gen Philip Jones, Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle.
The Healey owners and their guests will then depart for a tour of Windsor Castle.
A highlight of the programme will be the Black Tie Gala Dinner taking place on the evening of Tuesday 2 June at The Old Chapel, De Vere Beaumont Estate, Old Windsor. The elegantevening will welcome Austin Healey Club UK and overseas members, alongside invited guests and supporters of the Trust.
Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner, entertainment, and a live charity auction, with proceeds helping to support the Trust’s ongoing charitable initiatives.
Speaking about the event, Richard Kidson, Trustee of the Prince Philip Trust Fund said:
“This promises to be a truly special occasion, bringing together an international community of classic car enthusiasts and raising funds which will go back to the local community here in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. We are delighted to be working alongside the International Healey Club to create a memorable programme in the magnificent setting of Windsor Great Park. ”
Ian Foster from the Austin Healey Club (Thames Valley Branch) said:
“We are incredibly grateful to The Crown Estate and the Windsor Castle teams for their support and collaboration in helping bring this special event to life. To be able to showcase these magnificent Austin Healey cars in the stunning setting of Windsor Great Park and along the iconic Long Walk is a real privilege for our members, many of whom are travelling from around the world to take part. Their support has helped create what promises to be a truly memorable celebration of classic motoring while raising valuable funds for The Prince Philip Trust Fund. ”
The event is expected to attract significant interest from motoring enthusiasts, collectors, and supporters of the Trust alike, combining heritage, community, and fundraising in a memorable celebration.
