At an extraordinary virtual meeting of the Trustees of the Prince Philip Trust held in April, chaired by HRH The Earl of Wessex, the Trustees have taken the difficult decision to suspend the normal application and grant approval process. This has been done in order to prioritise financial support for those organisations which the Trustees perceive to be in most need within the Royal Borough at this difficult time.
We sincerely apologise to those who have submitted applications in good faith over the past few months and hope that you will understand that the Trustees, given their limited resources, have a duty to support the most vulnerable and isolated in our community and those who are working to relieve suffering.
If you are involved with such work or are aware of a community group that serves the residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead that may need our help, please do get in touch through our website. It would help us if you can be very specific about what the funding is for and it’s focus on immediate and urgent need as a result of Covid-19. Please mark your application “Covid-19 Emergency” and submit these as soon as possible up until mid May to be considered in our next round of funding. Urgent applications can be made before and after this date and will be assessed accordingly.
We, like so many of you, look forward to the day when our normal pattern of life will return and for us especially, the days when our grant-giving support to the wider community of Windsor and Maidenhead can resume.
Most importantly, please stay safe and well.
